Emergency Ambulance
Since 1980, Central's highly skilled medics have provided compassionate care for Washington County residents and visitors in need of pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation.
Currently, we have three 24 hour ambulances and two 12 hour ambulances in the City of Fayetteville, one 24 hour ambulance in Prairie Grove, one 12 hour ambulance in Lincoln and one 24 hour ambulance in West Fork.
As the primary 911 responder, we deliver care from the time the 911 call is received to the point of delivery at the hospital. Our EMTs and Paramedics lead the team of on scene responders through the most current American Heart Association and American College of Surgeons guidelines and recommendations.
Our medical protocols are developed through consensus of all Northwest Arkansas EMS systems. This regional approach ensures consistent and up to date delivery of care, as well as seamless performance during mutual aid responses.
Central's emergency medical response crews provide innovative care and technology, including:
- Licensed EMTs and Paramedics on every ambulance with medical direction through Washington Regional Medical Center
- Satellite GPS dispatching and navigation
- Lifepack 12 and 15 cardiac monitors
- EZ-IO medication and fluid administration
- Electronic Patient Care Reports using Siren 3 software and toughbook computers
- Radio and cellular communications
- Strategically stationed and deployed ambulances throughout our service area
- National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) command structure
