Training

The Training Division provides continuing education for all Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics, as well as CPR, First Responder and First Aid classes for the fire departments and the community.  Since January 1, 2010 the Training Division has completed 2,636 contact hours of EMS Training, 1,108 contact hours of Fire Department Training and 2,106 contact hours of community education.   Classes range from new equipment, medical protocol training to refresher and CPR.   We also conduct annual first responder training for the nineteen rural fire departments in Washington County. This integrated training strengthens the emergency service network.  We are all focused on the same patient care procedures, working from the same protocol as a seamless team.  Central EMS is instrumental in coordinating the efforts that maintain the Northwest Arkansas Regional Protocol for all Emergency Services in our area.

In early 2011 Central EMS opened our Emergency Services Training Facility.  This building was originally a Navy Reserve facility and most recently used Fayetteville Public School system for adult education. With over 5,500 square feet we are excited to see what programs we can deliver to the area emergency responders and community.
